„Abattoir“ by X MARKS THE PEDWALK remains an essential classic in scene clubs and playlists to this day—more than 35 years after its release. Originally issued as a single in 1990 on the pioneering label Zoth Ommog, the track cemented the band’s cult status.

Now, mastermind Sevren Ni-Arb—alongside his son and their joint dark-electro project, DUOPHONIC NOISE CONSTRUCTION—is bringing this classic back into the present with full force.

„Abattoir (new version)“ combines the aggressive, dark atmosphere of the original with relentless basslines and a surge of raw energy. Restored original samples have been carefully integrated, and Sevren’s vocals once again command attention. The result is a fusion of modern, hard-hitting cyber-industrial and the untamed fury of the early 90s.

What began in 1990 as a dark dystopian vision reads today almost like a commentary on the present. In a world shaken by global crises, power struggles, and social division, the cynical perspective of „Abattoir“ takes on an unsettling relevance.
